About Me

Alan K.
Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States
I am first a husband to my wonderful wife, Lynn. Then a father, engineer, program manager and tinkerer with all things mechanical. My first car was a 1966 Mustang with it I learned that going fast was the quickest way to go broke. I moved on to a 1950 Mercury and learned custom body work, before the aviation bug bit. I got my BS degree in engineering from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, this lead to a career as a Avionics Engineer that allow me to get my pilots license and build an RV-8 aircraft that I flew for 500 hours before it was sold. When my Son turned 15 we bought an old 1967 GMC and we restored/hot rodded it as his first car. Now it is time for project for me, an electric sports car.
